VIDEO DESCRIPTION:

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau took Ivanka Trump to a Broadway musical about inclusion on March 15.Come From Away is a musical about the small town of Gander, Newfoundland, with a population of only 11,254. The remote town welcomed 6,579 passengers and crew, from 38 planes that were diverted immediately following the September 11, 2001 attacks in New York City. Canadian news outlet CP 24 reported that Ivanka Trump joined Trudeau and his wife Sophie in their motorcade as they arrived at the performance, with Trudeau and Ivanka sitting together during the show. CP 24 added that Trudeau, who delivered opening remarks that stressed the importance of Canada’s relationship with the US and the need to welcome outsiders, wept during the show quoting him saying "Oh my god, I lost the fight the whole way through….Two minutes (in), I started to cry.” Several ambassadors to the United Nations, Canadian cabinet members, and former Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chrétien were also in attendance.
